Red Bull hired me to stitch at the media event to open up the Red Bull Dance Your Style breakdancing competition. I set up in a corner of a reserved space at Philly's own LMNO. And if that vibe itself wasn't cool enough, the guest list of talented dancers made it even cooler.
I stitched white & pink bandanas adorned with a special Red Bull pin that advertised the simultaneous launch of their new "white peach" flavor. Guests received unlimited free embroidered bandanas that they could customize with script embroidery or icons that Red Bull & I sorted out prior to the event. We chose colors that best aligned with the white peach can: hot pink, raspberry, black, and white.
Guests snacked on LMNO's spectacular menu, danced to a live DJ (which was extremely entertaining given how talented they were), and professional photographers took headshots of the dancers to celebrate their Red Bull stage debut the following day.
The bandanas were such a hit that I ended up bringing home surplus orders that I promptly returned the following morning. For me, this was a treat because as a local Philadelphian, I could hand-deliver, which meant I got a sneak preview of the dance competition itself taking place at Union Transfer. I saw moves I'd never seen before!
I'm so thankful to the team at Red Bull for giving me the opportunity not only to stitch but see some incredibly talented Philadelphians dance their booties off.
