Handmade Handcranked Chainstitch Embroidered Reproductive Rights Banner - Prochoice Womens Rights My Body My Choice

This is my first chain stitched banner that I've added to my store and I'm donating 50% of the proceeds to the Pennsylvania Abortion Fund.

This banner is 23" wide and 17.25" tall, made with acrylic wool and cotton threads and 100% cotton canvas. I designed the image myself, and then used an industrial hand cranked chaintstitch machine to transfer my design to canvas. I then finished the edges on my sewing machine and used a grommet tool to add gold grommets at each corner. The banner can be hung horizontally or vertically - your preference.

About the design...
As I drew this banner I was very particular about the flowers that I chose and deliberate in their placement as a replica of the female reproductive anatomy. The anemone, gladiolus, and ivy all have special representation. Anemone is symbolic of protection, arrival of spring, and the loss of loved one. Gladiolus is symbolic of strength, integrity, and ivy represents fidelity, staying power. Flowers represent growth and new life, and in this format signify the ability for women to bring forward new life. At the same time we own our own bodies and can choose whether or not to create life. There is strength in that choice, and power in enduring the fight.

*Wash as gently as possible - preferably by hand - and lay flat to dry for long lasting durability of your patch. Fuzziness is expected over time. Iron on reverse side*
